Who Is Mistral Dawn?

Mistral Dawn is a thirty-something gal who has lived on both coasts of the US but somehow never in the middle. She currently resides in the Southeast US with her kitty cats (please spay or neuter! :-)) where she works as a hospital drudge and attends graduate school. Taken By The Huntsman is her first effort at writing fiction and if it is well received she has ideas for several more novels and short-stories in this series. Please feel free to visit her on FaceBook or drop her a line at mistralkdawn@gmail.com

Something Worth Watching?

Hey Everyone!!

I'm back with another video for you today.  This one is from the Jimmy Dore show and it focuses on a speech by Harry Belafonte and his thoughts about US politics and the Democratic Party, in particular. It's a moving speech that references several notable figures in American political history, people who fought for, and achieved, real and meaningful change.  One thing that really stood out to me was his description of a meeting with FDR that highlights how vital it is that The People make their voices heard through activism in order to push politicians into action. I found it to be a powerful reminder about the real seat of power in this country, and I definitely think it's worth listening to.
