#CoverReveal For #Chipped #Black #Nail #Polish By Nicholas Tanek! :-)

Hey Everyone!! :-)

Author Nicholas Tanek is announcing a cover reveal for Chipped Black Nail Polish. This book will be out in spring. Check it out! :-)

*•*•*•*COVER REVEAL*•*•*•*

chipped black nail polish
By .nicholas tanek

Book Description:
A tribute to a different kind of Jersey girl.
In New Jersey during the summer of 1989, an awkward thirteen-year-old who was obsessed with weird music fell head-over-heels in love with the coolest post-punk rock girl he had ever met.
Nicholas was insecure. He was a daydreamer, wishing for romance when he was told, over and over, that he could not have it. He was a toy, pulled and pushed, wanted and used, dragged along yet held at a distance. Nicholas fell in with the out crowd, and loved every minute of it. He fell in love and got left behind, but not before she changed him forever.
This is an irrational, emotional love story for the teenager inside all of us.
The music is loud, and you’re about to be pushed into the pit.
What some people are saying…
“I should have put you in therapy.” – my mother
“I insist that you use my real name.” – Kevin
“Finally, a title that doesn’t scare people off. Not like the first book, The Coolest Way to Kill Yourself.” – Kim Gray, publicist

Foreword by Wendy Buck
Three months after I read Nicholas’ first book, The Coolest Way to Kill Yourself, my thirteen-year-old daughter, M, told me she was a lesbian. I did not know Nicholas before reading his first book, but he has since become a close friend and confidant. I shared M’s news with him and his response was that I had to write a foreword for his next book. I asked him for the correlation between her announcement and his book, because I didn’t get it. And I fought him on it. What does being gay have in common with being punk rock? He told me to think about the term in a non-music sort of way. What does it represent? And so I did what I always do. I went away and I thought about what he said. Chipped Black Nail Polish takes place when I was a teenager, during the height of punk rock. As so many of us did, I promised myself I would never grow up to be one of those adults who forgot where she came from. The music was important, but more than that, what punk rock stood for took center stage for me: the do it- yourself philosophy, questioning the norm, thinking critically, and pushing the boundaries of acceptability. But above all of those things, the most basic characteristic of punk rock is to be true to one’s self. But, I broke that promise. I lost sight of myself and became ii someone I thought I should be in the eyes of my peers. And so, Nicholas and his book came along shortly after I started questioning my decisions and choices in life. Not only have I benefited from his being such a good friend, but so too has my daughter. I raise M to be a free thinker and she is very much a free spirit. When I look at her, I am so proud of the young woman she is becoming. She will make her mark. And just like how she came out to the world, she will do it in her own way and in her own time. Do not rush this child, and do not expect her to do it the normal way. She is a weirdo. Nicholas has captured only one summer, three months, in this book. These months were pinnacle in defining him as an adult. He, too, was thirteen during the events that took place. I am so grateful that Kim entered his life, for however brief that time was. She taught him to live in acceptance of one’s self, to question everything, to stretch himself outside his perceived comfort zone. She taught him punk rock. She taught him it was okay to be a weirdo.

Author Info
Nicholas Tanek is an American ghostwriter from New Brunswick, New Jersey. He graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor's degree in English. Nicholas Tanek grew up as a New Jersey punk rock skater kid who lost himself in the early 90’s New York City rave scene. Losing Lynn inspired him to write his first book, The Coolest Way To Kill Yourself. There is quite a bit of kinky sex, drugs, and music in the life of Nicholas Tanek and he has some unique stories to tell.

Claire Plaisted Interviewed By Mistral Dawn

Hi Everyone!! :-)

We're here with Claire Plaisted today to talk about her writing! Can you tell us about yourself Claire?

Claire: I live in New Zealand though I grew up in Cheshire, England with my parents and two siblings. I first came to New Zealand for a holiday in 1989, yes romance blossomed. This is where I met my future head on. Over the following few years we courted via phone calls and letters – no email for us in those days. I finally moved to New Zealand in 1991 and married in 1992. Since that time, we have had four children; losing our youngest daughter. At present, we have two pet cats who don’t like each other.
My main interest is Genealogy, I have research and compiled a few reunion books over the years, including my husband’s line and his mothers. A lovely past time that came to a stop one month a few years ago. Bored with waiting for new research, I opened a document and started to write. I’ve never really looked back.
I have a lot of drafts on my computer though at this stage I only have 8 books published with another two within the next few months.
Me: Wow! Sounds like you've been busy! What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Claire: My favourite book of the moment is Girlie and the War of the Wasps. It was inspired by my friend Sharon and written for her grandson who is three years old. It is a story to be read to a young child by their parents, grandparents and or babysitter.

The story is about a bright blue ladybug called Girlie. She falls into her first adventure when her best friend Grassi the grasshopper gets kidnapped by nasty wasps. During her adventure she meets makes many new friends, including Pedi the Centipede and Sammie the Cat. The nasty wasps are lazy and aggressive due to a bad diet as larvae, though the queen wasp has noticed this she doesn’t know what to do.

Me: How sweet! :-) What are you working on now?

Claire: At present, I am not writing at all. I have been going over my novels and revising them so I can release second editions. This gives my fingers a rest. The novel I will be working on next is my NaNoWriMo novel. (Yes I did the 50,000-word count challenge) This is actually book 6 in a series I am writing at present.

Me: Congrats on participating in NaNoWriMo! :-) What authors, or books, have influenced you?

Claire: I have no idea what authors or books have influenced me. If I look at my bookshelves they either have Thrillers or kid’s books on them, be they in the now, past or future.

Me: Hmm...a mystery! ;-) What are you reading now?

Claire: I haven’t got a book open right now.

Me: Slacker! ;-) For those who might consider reading your book, what would you tell them to expect?

Claire: Expect a great read which is fast paced with adventure and lots of unexpected twists and turns in the adult books. In fact in most of my books have adventure with twists though, of course, there is romance in my adult books, but none in my children’s books.

Me: Sounds like fun! :-) What is your favorite part of being an author?

Claire: Scaring my children with my vivid imagination, so they say. It makes me smile

Me: Ha! Well, it sounds like you all have good senses of humor. :-) Do you have a day job as well?

Claire: Yes, I do. I have a business. I format draft books into eBooks and or print so they can be uploaded online. I do this for those who are not computer savvy enough to do so themselves. It is great helping others and doing so at reasonable rates.

Me: Sounds like a great job! :-) What is the hardest and easiest part about being a writer?

Claire: What is the hardest? You know I have no idea, it can be various things, like hoping nobody will disturb you, been a mum and working from home can sometimes get frustrating with all the interruptions. The only other thing I can think of is writing too many drafts and not finishing enough of them. The easiest part? For me; that would be the actual writing. I am prolific, to say the least, and I still have no idea where my ideas come from. I let my fingers to the writing.

Me: Yes, getting uninterrupted time can be challenging. What genre do you place your book in?

Claire: I’m all over the place with my genres. I have detective, mystery, romance, thriller, erotic, fantasy, adventure, children’s, Regency historical, sci-fi, social history and of course my family history books. A lot of these are still in draft.

Me: Great! Keeps it interesting! :-) Is there anything else you'd like to tell your readers?

Claire: You will definitely get a good and enjoyable read. They are fast pasted, easy reading to enjoy in comfort with a nice drink.

Me: And so everyone can find all your wonderful books, are there any links you'd like me to post?

#Win A #Chance To #See Your #Character In My #Story!! :-)

Hey Everyone!! :-)

You all have a chance to win the opportunity to have a character in my next short story!!!! :-) First of all, if you haven't yet read Taken By The Huntsman and Bound By The Summer Prince, stop reading this post now and go get the books: Taken By The Huntsman On Amazon, Bound By The Summer Prince On Amazon. Otherwise you might learn things here that will give away the stories! ;-)

Okay, has everyone still reading this post already read the books? Great! Then I hope you'll be excited to learn that my next project will be a short story about Jillian. She and Angelica (a character you were briefly introduced to in Bound By The Summer Prince) will learn about a plot to ruin Roni and Uaine's wedding and coronation and ultimately kill them! Naturally, a loyal friend like Jillian can't let that happen, so she and her new Pixie companion will have to find out who the bad guys are, what they're up to, and figure out how to stop them! Want to know the details? You'll just have to stay tuned! :-)

Now, what can you win? I'm glad you asked!! A royal wedding/coronation is obviously going to be a large and elaborate affair. After all, how often are a new king and queen crowned in a society where the monarchs are all ageless? ;-) All the major players will be invited. The Winter Court king will be there, as will Cadeyrn and Cassie. Representatives of all the different types of Summer Fae will be there, and also a few surprise guests! :-) The contest will be to nominate/create a character who you would like to see as a wedding guest.

Okay, the rules: First, you can nominate/create as many characters as you like, but I won't guarantee that all or even any of them will make it into the story. Sorry, that's why I said a chance to win. Second, the characters I've already mentioned in this post will definitely be there, as will Briallen, and I'm afraid I've already got the creative details for them nailed down, so they are off limits for your creative efforts, again sorry. Third, you can nominate any character I've created, but if you just use one of my characters your "prize" will be a little different than if you create a whole new character.

Finally, the rules for creating a character: You can use any of the types of Fae I've already described, or you can create a whole new one. If you create a new type of Fae, you need to include general characteristics about the type as well as specific characteristics about the individual. IE: the type of Fae usually has skin that is gold, orange, or red, but the specific Fae has orangey-yellow skin. Or the type of Fae is usually strong in natural magic, but the specific Fae wields power over animals. Etc. All the details need to be nailed down before you send me the character. :-) If you use one of the types of Fae I've created, the specifics of the individual need to be consistent with the type I've described. And don't forget to give your character a name!! :-) For guidelines about the type of information I'll need for your character, you can refer to the Who's Who sections in the back of your books. :-) Also, you'll need to tell me if you'd like them to be a good guy or a bad guy, what Court (if any) they belong to, and if they have any mannerisms or speech patterns you'd like included. If you'd like them to play a particular role, you can also include that information. Caveats: I reserve the right to alter your character if necessary to fit my story, and if I contact you because I need further information/clarification about your character and you do not respond in a timely manner, I reserve the right to alter/invent as I see fit. :-)

Submitting entries: First, by submitting your idea you are consenting to the terms I've laid out within this post and to my using your character in my short story, and in any of my future stories the character may become a part of. Let me make this clear because it is very important, once you submit your entry you are giving me permission to use your creation however, whenever, and in whatever manner I choose. You are yielding the rights to, and creative control of, your creation to me, for this story and for any future stories I write that include your character. That permission and control includes both the specific individual character and the type of Fae (if you create a new type). That also means I may make changes to your character, have the character evolve, create new characters within the type of Fae you create, and basically use your creation within my stories however I decide to. The only compensation you are guaranteed is that, if I use your character, you will be named in the acknowledgements of the short story about Jillian, and receive thanks and credit there. I'm sorry to be so blunt, but I don't want there to be any confusion about what submitting an entry means. :-) You can submit your ideas by emailing me at mistralkdawn@gmail.com but any emails you send that you want entered into the contest must contain the phrase Mistral Dawn's Character Creation Contest Entry in the subject box and within the body of the email you must include the phrase I Have Read And Understand The Contest Rules And I Understand And Agree That By Submitting My Entry I Am Ceding The Rights To And Creative Control Of My Idea To The Author Known As Mistral Dawn. Both of these things must be present for your entry to be valid.

What do you win? Another great question! If you just nominate one of my characters, and they ultimately make it into the story on the basis of your nomination, then I will mention you in the acknowledgments and thank you there for participating in the contest. If you create a new character, and they make it into the story, your character will be placed in the Who's Who section of this story and future stories, as well as into the story itself, and in the acknowledgments of the short story about Jillian thwarting the plot against Roni and Uaine's wedding and coronation I will thank you and give you credit for your creation. If you create a whole new type of Fae, that type will also be included in the Types Of Fae section in this story, and in future stories, and I may create new characters within your type of Fae. :-) I'll also give you the opportunity to send me any other information you'd like to include in the acknowledgments (though I reserve the right to edit). The thanks to and mention of you may be displayed as your first name only, your whole name, or a pseudonym/pen name of your choice. I'll leave the decision of what name I use to acknowledge your contribution to you. :-)

How do you win? Ah, now there's the rub! ;-) First, obviously, you'll need to submit your idea(s) as I've stated. Any ideas that are not submitted in the way I've specified will not be eligible for entry. Sorry. :-( If I only receive a few entries I'll just pick one and let that person know, but if I receive lots of entries I'll host a contest here on my blog and let you all vote for your favorites!! :-) There may even be more than one winner, so keep those entries coming!! :-)

How long will the contest last? I will keep the contest open until May 1, 2015 at 4am EDT. Any entries submitted after that will not be eligible for consideration, so don't wait! :-) If there are enough entries for a vote, I will host the vote on May 2, 2015 on my blog. If there are not enough entries for a vote, I will announce the winner I choose then.

Sorry for the lengthy post today, folks, but I thank you all for taking the time to read it and I look forward to your entries!! :-)

Savannah Morgan #Interviewed By Mistral Dawn

Hey Everyone!! :-)

The lovely and talented Savannah Morgan is joining us today!! Will you tell us about yourself and how many books you have written, Savannah?

Savannah: I have traveled the world, fought against injustice, and brought evil to a grinding halt. I have made kings and destroyed empires. I have owned businesses, been a housewife and worked as an office assistant. I have written ingenious copy for PR campaigns and I have been an evil Senator. I have built towns, painted world renowned art, and photographed the world. I have found love in the most unlikely places and I have been betrayed. I have scratched and clawed my way out of dissolute situations and I have caused those I love pain. I can fly a plane and a helicopter. I can dismantle a bomb and find the cure of diseases. I can shift into any creature I wish and I am magical. I am a Warrior Goddess who will smite you down or send a faerie in to help you find true love. I am all of these things and more...in the fertile depths of my creativity.
In truth I live in Central MS with my husband and two dogs and live a simple life, which I love. I have an adventurous spirit and thoroughly enjoy seeing new places while meeting new and interesting people.
I have written 5 books three of which are published and the fourth will be coming out in May of 2015.

Me: Ha! Yeah, writing and reading books does give us the opportunity to "travel," doesn't it? ;-) Congrats on your upcoming release! :-) What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?

Savannah: My latest book is titled Touch of the Irish: A collection of erotic fantasy stories: Part 1 Dragon’s Lair. Actually I was inspired to write this by several things. One was I wanted to see if I could write a short story. My books tend to be a little long, and I wanted to do a quick read book. Another thing that inspired me to write Touch of the Irish was St. Patrick’s Day. I wanted to do something with faeries and leprechauns. And lastly, some members of my street team, Savannah’s Vixens. They were a huge support system. They also edited the story as a team. It was quite a unique experience and one I’m hoping they will allow me to have again. Their support, encouragement, and contribution throughout the process of writing Touch of the Irish is why I dedicated the first book and the entire series to them. I would truly be lost without my Vixens.

Me: I'm rather partial to hot Fae myself. ;-) I couldn't agree more! The totally wonderful and kind people who help us indie authors polish and promote our work are worth their weight in gold!! :-) What are you working on now?

Savannah: Oh, where do I start? I have many irons in the fire right now. I’m editing the book that is coming out on May 16th, called Dakota’s Autumn. I’m writing parts 2 and 3 of Touch of the Irish and I’m also working on the third book in my Sapphire Springs series and trying desperately to get all of my published titles in paperback format.

Me: Ha! Yeah, isn't it fun when you have to wear every hat? ;-) What authors, or books have influenced you?

Savannah: The authors whose style of writing have influenced me would have to be Sherrilyn Kenyon, Christine Feehan, Lora Leigh, and Kallypso Masters. These authors are my guarantees for a satisfying, thrilling story with believable and lovable characters.

Me: Those are some of my favorites too!! I especially like Sherrilyn Kenyon's League series. :-) What are you reading now?

Savannah: I am embarrassed to say that I am woefully behind on my reading. I’m not currently reading anything at the moment, however, that doesn't mean I don’t have a TBR list that multiplies daily. I am hoping to get myself back on schedule and start reading soon. I have a lot of great titles just waiting for me to open them up and submerse myself in their wonderful tales.

Me: I hear you there! I'm finally starting to catch up on some of the books I've been trying to get to for months, now that I've released my second book. ;-) For those who might consider reading your book, what would you tell them to expect?

Savannah: I’m a story fanatic. I want there to be a real story to sink my teeth into, something that will draw me in and keep me there. I also want to care, truly care about the characters. I try to bring that to my own stories. I want my readers to feel as if they have gone on a journey. I also want them to leave that journey satisfied but still with a sense of yearning for more. My books are for the 18+ group due to adult content. And honestly they are what is becoming known as super books. Books that are normally over 125,000 words each.

Me: Yay for the story books! ;-) I love a good tale. What is your favorite part of being an author?

Savannah: There are so many things I love about being an author. To be totally honest with you, I haven’t found an aspect that I really dislike. I will admit there are things I feel I’m better at than others but I’ve always enjoyed a challenge. But mostly, I simply love watching the voices in my head transform into a story on the page. I’m always surprised by the twists and turns each story takes.

Me: HA! Yeah, isn't it funny how characters always seem to have minds of their own? ;-) Do you have a day job as well?

Savannah: Not at this time. I am currently looking though

Me: Good luck!! :-) What is the hardest and easiest part about being a writer?

Savannah: The hardest part of writing for me always seems to be coming up with a title. That perfect balance between what the story is about that can hook you and making it catchy and simple. The easiest thing about writing would have to be character development. The characters seem to just come to me fully developed with whole lives, at least for the moment they do.

Me: Yeah, I struggle with titles too. How does one describe an entire book in less than one sentence? ;-) What genre do you place your book in?

Savannah: I actually write in several genres, but my latest title would fall under PNR

Me: My favorite! ;-) Anything else you'd like to tell your readers?

Savannah: I love meeting new people. I love chatting with them and hearing their honest thoughts of my books. I’m a firm believer that a writer needs to challenge themselves to become better and better. Without feedback from our readers we don’t know what areas we need to work on to bring you more stories you love.

Me: Amen! :-) And so all of these lovely readers can find you, are there any links you'd like me to post?

Savannah: You may use any or all of the following links. I encourage stalking me on all of them. LOL

Anthony Donnelly Interviewed By Mistral Dawn

Hi Everyone!!

Today Anthony Donnelly is joining us! Can you tell us about yourself and how many books you have written, Anthony? :-)

Anthony:  That’s a fatal question to ask a writer, as I could write an entire book on the first part alone! I’m British by birth, so the humor comes with the territory, I’m afraid, but have lived almost my entire adult life abroad. I have been writing since I was in my early teens, and have been a published author for the past 15 years. I currently have seven published titles, but have written many, many more than that.

Me:  Ha! I love British humor.  One of the funniest actors ever, imo, was Sir Alec Guinness. Yeah, I know, who'da thunk it.  Good o'l Obi-Wan Kenobi himself. ;-)  Will you tell us about your latest book and what inspired it?

Anthony:  49q? The Enigma Continues is the title of my latest publication, which I’m excited to say is doing much better than I imagined it would. It was inspired out of sheer desperation. I’d spent almost 10 years pitching agents and publishers to no avail with my other works. In a last-ditch attempt (taking inspiration from Joyce) I set out to write the most elaborate, fantastical, crazy, and intricate work of fiction possible: 3 full-length novels, one movie, and a CD rock album, all adding to each other to make something bigger than the sum of it’s parts. It was a huge undertaking, and took over seven years to complete. I’ve released book two to commemorate 10 years since I finished the project.

Me:  Congratulations on your success!!! :-)  What are you working on now?

Anthony:  I have two writing projects in progress right now: one is a semi-autobiographical, humorous novel about my experiences in Costa Rica last year called Balls-deep In Paradise, and the other is a self-help companion guide to go with my inspirational parable The Shepherd I published late last year.

Me:  Sounds like you're busy!  Are there any authors, or books, who have influenced you?

Anthony:  That’s a really hard question to answer. I’m not much of a follower, so I never had a favorite author growing up nor got into reading entire series of books and stories. I read what I liked, and stopped reading books that didn’t interest me. Since I have traveled a lot, I’d say I’m more influenced by the places I go to and the people I meet and interact with. I’m sure I’ve been influenced by what I’ve read, but I couldn’t really pin it down to a specific author.

Me:  How wonderful! Most of us do our traveling between the covers of books, you've done the really thing! :-) What are you reading now?

Anthony:  I’m reading a non-fiction book right now “Living Abroad In Costa Rica” by Erin van Rheenen since I’m doing research into my autobiographical novel set there. As I’ve become older, I tend to read much more non-fiction than fiction.

Me:  Getting another perspective, huh? We should all be so smart! :-) For those who might consider reading your book, what would you tell them to expect?

Anthony:  49q? is definitely NOT your average book. As I tell the potential reader, ‘You’ll either love it or hate it!’ It is very unconventional both from a stylistic and literary point of view. If you like books that make you think about what you’re reading, then this is for you, but if you just want  pulp fiction, this definitely isn't for you. If you want a safe bet, or something more uplifting and inspirational, read The Shepherd.

Me:  Cool!  What would you say is your favorite part of being an author?

Anthony:  I think most authors probably agree it’s the ability to design our own imaginary worlds to play in that’s the best part. Writing gives me the chance to live through my characters in my books, be a child again, and play!

Me:  That is fun!! :-) Do you have a day job as well?

Anthony:   Not really. I’ve worked for myself for the past 20 years, and I love what I do, so I don’t consider it a ‘job’, it also overlaps into my life and work as an author. I’ve been very fortunate that I’ve managed to turn ‘being me’ into a way to make money to live on. I think I’ve found the secret to a happy life!

Me:  Lucky you!!  What would you say are the hardest and easiest parts about being a writer?

Anthony:  Hands down the hardest part is discipline. I’m very easily distracted, but also the easiest part about being a writer is when I am totally absorbed in my work. When I’m ‘in the zone’ I can lose hours. It’s sometimes like being in a very vivid dream, it’s quite sad to come out of it sometimes.

Me:  Speaking as an official member of the ADD Anonymous organization, I understand. ;-) What genre do you place your book in?

Anthony:  The Shepherd is easy to place: inspirational self-help. 49q? is somewhat harder, as it crosses many genres, but if I had to pick something it would be something like metaphysical-sci fi-mystery-fantasy-erotica.

Me:  Sounds like an interesting read! :-)  Anything else you'd like to tell your readers?

Anthony:  Writing can be a lonely endeavor, and I’d like to thank all the readers and fellow writers that drop me little notes of encouragement, or review my books. Reviews to an author are like applause to an actor.

Me:  Amen! :-)  And so our lovely guests can find your amazing books, are there any links you'd like me to post?

Anthony:  Here are the links to my two books:

Thank you so much for speaking with us today Anthony, and best of luck with your works-in-progress!! :-)  Everyone else, thank you as well for being here and don't forget to check back often for more news, updates, random musings and interviews!!! :-)

#Spicy #Saturday #Excerpt From #Bound By The #Summer #Prince! :-)

Roni gulped. Uaine had placed a shallow platform against the wall for her to stand on, to make the difference in their heights less of a complication. He had then placed restraints on the wall, in the perfect positions to hold her ankles when she stood on the platform, and her wrists if she held them up by her head. The restraints were wide, padded, leather cuffs with buckles. They looked comfortable enough, it was clear he had no intention of causing her injury, but were intimidating all the same.

"What do you think?" He asked, causing her to whip her head back around to meet his eyes.

"You obviously have some delusion of me allowing you to put me in those." she stated.

Uaine watched his mate's face, she was always so careful to guard her expressions, but sometimes a flicker of what she felt would show. Trepidation slid briefly through her eyes, but also excitement. She wasn't as opposed to the idea as she pretended.

While he would never attempt to coerce his Anamchara to do anything she truly did not wish to do, he was reasonably certain she was willing to be persuaded in this, and he hoped that making her reliant on him in this way would deepen their bond. He knew she did not trust him with her heart, but perhaps that would come if he could get her to trust him with her body.

"You are afraid." He teased.

Roni's nostrils flared as she bristled at the accusation. "I fear nothing! Certainly not you! Don't you keep telling me that you're bound to me by some mystical bond? You can't hurt me!"

Reaching out to cup her cheek gently, Uaine smiled. "No, I can't hurt you. I don't want to hurt you. I would sooner plunge a dagger into my own heart, than allow a single hair on your head to be harmed. So will you not indulge me in this? I promise you will not be disappointed."

Momentarily allowing her eyes to slide closed at the feel of his hand against her face, Roni forced herself to put aside her weakness, her craving for touch, and consider her options. She could flatly refuse, and insist on remaining unfettered while they played; it was clear he would not force the issue. Her past had taught her enough about how a male's body worked, that she was sure she could make the experience memorable for him.

On the other hand, he so rarely asked her for anything that it was becoming difficult to play on his feelings. Con games worked best when the mark had expectations that she could either fulfill or deny. It was true that she had to assert her independence, so that he would work to please her and she could use that to manipulate him into doing what she wanted. But she also needed him to feel as if she were forming a connection with him. If she frustrated all of his efforts, he might give up altogether, and then she'd be stuck. Besides, this would hardly be the first time she'd been tied up during sex.

No matter how boring or distasteful she ended up finding the encounter, she was sure she'd be able to feign enough enthusiasm to satisfy him; she always had before. It had become clear long ago that males generally had no idea, or interest in, how to please a female; as long as she made the right sounds at the right moments, and told them how wonderful they were, it kept them happy. Sex was just one more tool to be used to manage people, especially males.

Still, she'd have to lay some ground rules. He had told her he was tens of thousands of years old, but that didn't mean he knew how to play this game without hurting her. She knew he didn't intend to cause her harm, but there was a difference between hurting someone and damaging them. Being willing to humor him didn't extend as far as allowing him to torture her without limits. She cocked an eyebrow. "Okay, but first we have to agree on the terms."

"Terms?" He smiled. "You enjoy turning everything into a negotiation, don't you? Very well, what are your terms?"

Ignoring his dig she said; "First, I'll need a word or phrase to say if I want you to stop. It has to be something I wouldn't say otherwise, and I must have your word that if I say it you'll stop immediately."

Uaine's eyebrows shot up almost to his hairline. Would she really question something so basic? "Of course!! You will have a safeword, it would be impossible to engage in such play without one, and if I gag you then we will first agree upon a gesture that will serve the same purpose. I suggest the word 'stad,' it means 'stop' in the old language, and should be easy to remember."

Roni nodded. "That will do. Also, if I agree to this then you have to agree to do something that I ask of you."

He laughed. "I thought that might be one of your terms. What would you like me to do?"

She gave him a naughty grin. "I don't know yet, but I'm sure something will come up." She reached out and ran her hand over his hip, heading towards his groin.

He intercepted her hand and raised it to his lips, placing a gentle kiss on the back of it. "I have no doubt that the appropriate eventuality will arise." He teased while making gentle circles with his thumb against her palm. "But I reserve the right to refuse one request. Agreed?"

Sighing, Roni nodded. "Agreed."

Smiling, Uaine brought both of his hands up to cup her face tenderly. He laid the most chaste of kisses on her mouth, and when she tried to deepen it he used the grip he had on her chin to restrain her.

Roni's eyes had somehow closed when she felt his lips against hers, but when he pulled away they flew open and met his. She saw him grinning down at her, and, taking a deep breath, she tried to settle herself. Perhaps several thousand years was enough time for a male to finally learn a few tricks about pleasing a female.

Uaine gently maneuvered his Anamchara so that her back was between the restraints. He didn't raise her up onto the platform yet, but he took her hands and placed them next to her head on the wall. Lightly pressing on them, he looked into her eyes to see if she understood she was to keep them there. When she nodded, he lowered his hands to her shoulders, massaging them, and then ran them slowly down her body. His thumbs brushed almost imperceptibly over her breasts, and he felt her nipples harden.

Smiling to himself at her responsiveness, his hands drifted lower; over her hips and thighs, squeezing slightly as they moved, until he reached the hem of her dress. With one quick motion, he grabbed her garment and lifted it over her head. Her arms pulled through cleanly, and he dropped the clothing on the ground. Pausing a moment, he allowed himself to admire the beauty of his female in her undergarments. Heat filled his eyes as he thought about how he would worship her body.

Roni gasped in surprise as her dress flew over her head, and then smiled at the look on Uaine's face. That was the type of desire she wanted to see when a male looked at her in lingerie; it went a long way towards soothing the hurt caused by his previous rejection. With challenge in her eyes, Roni stepped back and up onto the platform, keeping her hands next to her head.

Uaine licked his lips, and hoped that his mate was enjoying their game as much as she seemed to be. The playfulness in her expression made him think she might be...now he just needed to put some heat in her eyes. Reaching up, he moved her arms lower so he could slide the straps of her bra down; but he had never seen a Fae female wear such a garment, and the method for removing it completely escaped him.

Laughing at his confusion, Roni reached behind herself and unhooked the clasp of her bra. She allowed it to slowly drift down until her chest was fully revealed, reveling in her lover's response to his first sight of her uncovered breasts. She was proud of the fact that even with such a large bust, removing the support resulted in barely any sagging at all. The garment fell from her fingers, and she kicked it away.

Leaning toward his Anamchara, Uaine put his hands on her forearms and pinned them against the wall as his lips moved slowly from her shoulder to the hollow just below her ear. He breathed against her, and allowed his shirt-covered chest to brush lightly against her swollen nipples. A shudder went through her as he moved both of her wrists into the restraints.

#Freaky #Friday #Excerpt From #Taken By The #Huntsman!! :-)

Cassie’s eyes widened and then narrowed at his words. She jumped off of the bed and stood over him as he sat in the chair. She poked her finger into his chest. “Look buster, you won’t be exploring anything with me anytime soon! Yeah, I think you’re hot, so would any straight female who wasn’t blind or dead, but that doesn’t mean I’ll jump into bed with you! And I don’t even know what you mean by enjoying being chased!”

Cadeyrn heard the truth in her words and was surprised. Her reaction to being pursued and pinned had been so strong he was sure that she must be aware of her fetish. Still, perhaps she hadn’t had the opportunity to be with a lover who could help her discover and explore such feelings. That would mean he would get to be the first to show her such pleasures! The thought made him hard enough to drive nails and he growled in the back of his throat.

He jumped to his feet and Cassie backed up a step. The look in his eyes was dangerous and she was suddenly unsure of herself. He walked towards her, with all of the liquid grace of the predator that he was, and she retreated until she found herself backed against a wall. She looked up into his face and saw that his green eyes were glowing. He leaned towards her and put his hands on either side of her on the wall. Unaccountably she found herself getting aroused and was horrified. How could she be turned on at such a time?!?

Cadeyrn scented Cassie’s growing desire and growled again. He opened his mouth to better catch the scent and Cassie saw that his canines seemed to have lengthened. She gasped and Cadeyrn lowered his head and inhaled deeply right beside her neck. Cassie felt her heart beating a mile a minute but she also felt an answering pulse for each beat from between her legs and she felt moisture begin to gather. Her breath caught and she raised her hands and put them against his chest. She didn’t push him away, but she kept them there as a barrier.

He gently ran his lips up the side of her neck from her shoulder to her ear where he whispered “This is what I mean when I say you enjoy being chased. You are excited to be pursued and aroused by being trapped. Do you dare deny this when the scent of your desire hangs so heavily on you?” He gently nipped her ear and then ran his tongue over it.

Cassie gasped and felt her knees wobble. She tried to swallow and found her mouth was dry. She cleared her throat and pushed against his chest. “I want you to stop. Please stop now.” Her voice trembled.

Under Rohnert, the revered and newly ascended leader, their future looks promising. However, an unknown enemy is manipulating events, killing humans and vampires alike, and exposing their secrets to the human world.

Both vampires face tough choices. Should Issy pursue her feelings for Cyrus or wait until he can return her affection? Will Cyrus deny his attraction to Isidora so he can kill the man who made his life a living hell on earth? Every decision leads to a reckoning.
~~EXCERPT~~
Reckoning-3D-Paperback-eReaderWith Isidora in his arms, Cyrus found comfort from the torture of his nightmares and his past. The warmth of her touch and the sweetness of her kisses made him think of nothing but the present and the desire he had long denied.
Cyrus had no idea how to take things between them. He had given her rough sex because he had been a jealous ass. If he’d been thinking clearly, he wouldn’t have done it. Yet he had given in to the intense need to possess her. Maybe, if he took things slow and started from the beginning, he could make do with the little kisses and touching. However, the tenting inside his pants was a cause for concern. It didn’t take long for her to notice.
Issy broke their kiss and smiled up at him. She had that gleam in her eyes, the kind that told him she knew what he was thinking. He rotated his hips, trying to create room between their bodies, but she refused to let him go.
“This is a good time to see if we can work things out.”
“Damn it,” Cyrus muttered. Was he ready? The answer was out of his hands. With the massive wood he was sporting, even a long dip in an icebox wouldn’t chill him out. His body needed Issy, and there was no doubt she wanted him, too.
“Cy, you can take charge of everything. We’ll go at your pace and on your terms. I’m here to enjoy the ride.”
This made him smile. “Even if the ride is bumpy?”
“As long as I’m with you.” She tightened her arms around his waist. “I don’t care how rough, how easy—just take me with you.”

#IndieBooksBeSeen #Monthly #Indie #BookReviews!! :-)

Hey Everyone!! :-)

I've got two book reviews for you this month.  The first is Demon Within by Julie Nicholls and the second is Kissing Demons by Jen Winters.  I know, a Demon theme seems to be going on, but they are both very different stories!! :-)

Demon Within by Julie Nicholls, Five Stars:

I just finished Demon Within by Julie Nicholls, and I had to write a review immediately! This was one of the most fun books to read that I've picked up in a while! :-) The story is about Kai, a half-breed whose mother was a human and whose father was a fallen angel, who was sold into slavery at the age of six. After a lifetime of abuse, he escaped and executed his former masters, and created an army dedicated to freeing and protecting former slaves. In order to get the resources he needs to fulfill his purpose, he agrees to wed Eloise, the daughter of a king of a nearby kingdom. Eloise turns out to be much more than Kai ever expected. ;-)

I blew through this story in just a couple of sittings (darn being a responsible adult, anyway!) and was thoroughly enchanted by this story. The dark, gritty world created by Ms. Nicholls was lightened by the sweet romance that developed between two characters who had every reason to distrust the world. The character development was awesome, I was sucked in to worrying about what would happen to these "people," and the romance was HOT! There were some minor editing issues, but the story was so good that it shone through. Her next book will be out in a couple of days and I'm so glad I don't have to wait too long!!

You can find this amazing book on Amazon here:  Demon Within On Amazon

And even more exciting, she's releasing her second book, Angel Within, tomorrow!! :-)  It's available for preorder on Amazon until then.  You can find Angel Within on Amazon here:  Angel Within On Amazon

She's also having a Facebook Page Takeover today (3/18/2015)!!  Please join her there at 3pm EDT. I'll be there! :-)  Julie Nicholls Facebook Party! :-)

Kissing Demons by Jen Winters, Five Stars:

Kissing Demons, by Jen Winters, is one of the sweetest, happiest stories I've read in a long time. You wouldn't think it would be given that the premise is a heroine, Geneva, who is a Guardian charged by God to protect humanity from the supernatural world, and a hero, Alex, who is a half demon (incubus) and half werewolf, but Ms. Winters spins these characters into a truly enchanting tale. The story is full of tender moments, characters working together for the common good, and "people" who truly care about others.

The God in Kissing Demons is a god of love and peace who only wants his children to be happy. It was the most positive take on religion I think I've ever had the privilege to read about. The romance in this story is both hot, and very sweet. Even the villain is deep enough that the reader is led to believe there might be more to his story than is discussed in this book. I can't wait to see what Ms. Winters comes up with next! :-)

You can find this amazing book on Amazon here:  Kissing Demons On Amazon

Thank you everyone for checking out my indie book reviews this month!! And please remember to support indie authors!! :-)
