Who Is Mistral Dawn?

Mistral Dawn is a thirty-something gal who has lived on both coasts of the US but somehow never in the middle. She currently resides in the Southeast US with her kitty cats (please spay or neuter! :-)) where she works as a hospital drudge and attends graduate school. Taken By The Huntsman is her first effort at writing fiction and if it is well received she has ideas for several more novels and short-stories in this series. Please feel free to visit her on FaceBook or drop her a line at mistralkdawn@gmail.com

Another #SneakPeek! :-)

Hey Everyone!! :-)

I've got another little snippet from the second book in the Petri Dish Chronicles to share with you today. :-)  It seems Chessie has found a friend in Daji too....

Excerpt from Untitled Second Book in the Petri Dish Chronicles:
Chessie looked up into Daji's crystal blue eyes and smiled. Eyes like that should look cold, but all she saw in them as she raised her hand to cup his cheek was incredible heat. His gaze seared her and she shivered.

"Good morning."

"Good morning," he answered as he leaned down to kiss her.

Her arms circled his neck, pulling him closer, as she arched her back to press her chest against his. He groaned into her mouth and tangled his tongue with hers. But just as she was disentangling her legs from the covers to wrap them around his hips, he froze and then pulled away, his ears flicking back and forth in different directions.

Chessie looked up at him, cocking an eyebrow.

When Daji's attention returned to her and he saw the question in her face, he grimaced and sat back on his haunches. "The airlock opened."

Sitting up, she moved to the edge of the bed, looking for her clothing. "Petri must be back."

Sighing, he nodded. "Yes. Or Sadaka has gotten tired of the lounge. Either way, we must investigate.

As he moved past her, Chessie touched his arm. He looked at her and she said, "I know you're frustrated, but please be patient. She's struggling too."

Hmmm...the personal dynamics seem to be getting complicated. I wonder what will happen next. ;-)  Thank you all for stopping by today, and please remember to check back tomorrow for the next installment in Mistral Dawn's Musings! :-)
