So, you've seen a little of Combustion, Vanquish, and Undeniable Love, Childish Things, and Burned Toast in the Gems of Strength anthology. Now, here's a peek at Ashley Melanson's Fox. Ashley, please tell us a little about yourself and your story. :-)

I'm not the greatest at talking about myself. I will just give you the bio from the book. Thank you for the opportunity to be in your blog. Excerpt:
"Apple approached the forest, uncertain of her choice but determined to see it through. She stared up at the huge maple trees. She thought perhaps when she arrived at the edge of the woods, the Freon would convince her to turn back home. But, what home did she really have without love that once warmed it?"
Bio: Ashley Melanson was born in Salem, MA. She is the middle child of a single mom. She has lived in many places but now resides in Missouri. She is an amateur writer. Her story, Fox, being her first published work outside of poems added to a work newsletter back in 2006. In college, she wrote, cast, and directed a play “No Turning Back,” which looks into the psyche of a teenager girl in her everyday life. Ashley can be found on Smashwords and soon Amazon Author section.
