Hey Everyone!! :-)
Yep, it's the 18th again, so time for my monthly #IndieBooksBeSeen indie book review!! Thanks for checking in, and I hope you find your next favorite read! ;-)
Under A Bourbon Street Moon: Vampyr by KM McFarland:
The first book in this series was a sweet beginning and this one was an excellent follow-up. There's a lot of family history that's hashed out in this installment, so the reader needs to pay close attention. Overall, it was a sweet and spicy read that promises more to come! I'm definitely looking forward to the third book in the series! :-)
The Ancients, Part I by JC Brennan:
The Crew do their best to protect others from the Damned, and they live in hope that nothing else will disturb their otherwise peaceful existence. But when ignorance and fear chase them from their home and force them to move, and one of them is brutally murdered in their new home, they're faced with the fact that more changes are in store for them. This is an interesting supernatural tale. I've never come across these myths approached in quite this way before, and the twists and turns kept me reading. All-in-all, a fun story with plenty of magic, mystery, and romance to keep readers engaged.
Captured Lies by Maggie Thom:
