Pagan - The Trials of the Haliorunnae by Vanda M Denton:
When the world spins out of control and you can't seem to find the right course of action to affect your own destiny, who do you blame? This is the second book in this series and, like the first, I'm having a hard time finding a way to describe it without giving too much away. Also like the first, this book deals with current existential crises that society struggles with and, thus far, has failed to prove equal to solving. It's a glimpse at the logical conclusion of current events, a warning against continuing on our current path of self-destruction, and an entertaining story all rolled into one. Five stars and I very much hope there will be more.
