It was funny how life turned out sometimes. Living in the underworld had taught her that surviving each day was a victory and looking ahead too far just invited headaches. But, now, she was starting to realize that the future wasn't something to be feared. She wouldn't go so far as to say she was excited about it, but the possibilities were starting to pique her curiosity. One thing she did know for certain, no matter what the galaxy threw at them, she and Chessie would face it together.
