Just the barest snippet from the second chapter of the book I'm working on. I'd love to hear what you thought when you read it. :-) At some point soon I'll probably have a contest to pick a title for this one. Does anyone have any suggestions? finally saw what he meant by 'the dungeon.'
This was no police station; it was a full-out medieval torture
chamber! The flickering glow she had
seen was a huge fireplace with a roaring fire.
Sticking out from a shelf inside of it were the handles of several
branding irons. There was a rack, an
iron maiden, and many other implements of torture she couldn't name but whose
purpose was clear.
