Who Is Mistral Dawn?

Mistral Dawn is a thirty-something gal who has lived on both coasts of the US but somehow never in the middle. She currently resides in the Southeast US with her kitty cats (please spay or neuter! :-)) where she works as a hospital drudge and attends graduate school. Taken By The Huntsman is her first effort at writing fiction and if it is well received she has ideas for several more novels and short-stories in this series. Please feel free to visit her on FaceBook or drop her a line at mistralkdawn@gmail.com

Something Worth Watching?

Hey Everyone!! :-)

I'm back today with another video I wanted to share. This one is about a particularly disgusting manifestation of the influence of the Christian Taliban in the US today. Just imagine if someone you love is in the ER, their life hanging by a thread, and the doctor on duty refuses to treat them for some arbitrary reason.

Don't think it could happen to you? Well, I'll give you a 'for instance' you probably haven't thought of. As I've mentioned in the past, I was raised in the Jehovah's Witness cult. People in that cult think that blood transfusions are morally wrong. So, how would you feel if you or a loved one was in the hospital and you needed a blood transfusion but your doctor was a Jehovah's Witness and they refused to order the transfusion you needed because it was against their religion? Does that sound like it would be a good thing to you?

If not, then you might want to call your elected representatives and tell them to take action to keep this from happening. Because if the government starts making decisions about who gets to live and who has to die based on their religious beliefs, how long do you think it will be before you end up on the wrong end of that equation?
