Here's a little bit more of the third installment in the Petri Dish Chronicles! As always, the disclaimer is that this is a draft and, as such, it's unedited and likely full of errors and is subject to revision, revamping, and being completely scrapped and rewritten. But, with that in mind, I'm reasonably satisfied with the basics of it, at least at the moment, or I wouldn't have bothered posting it. Enjoy! :-)
Excerpt from Shifting Paradigms:
“Alright, then what’s next? Because this,” she waved at the
organized chaos of the market, “isn’t going to help me do what you want me to
do.”
Vlad’s eyebrows lifted. “We don’t know what will help you do what I want you to do, Per Dish, because we don’t how such a bridge will work or how to coax your mind into forming it. But if this doesn’t seem to be aiding your efforts, we can move on.”
Petri looked at her friends, who both looked uncomfortable, and once more at the frenetic action they were on the periphery of. Turning away, she said, “Yeah, this isn’t helping. Let’s go somewhere else.”
“As you wish. Do you have somewhere in mind?”
Shaking her head, Petri sighed. “No. I don’t know what will help.”
“Perhaps somewhere quiet?”
“Yeah. Sure. That sounds good.”
