Who Is Mistral Dawn?

Mistral Dawn is a thirty-something gal who has lived on both coasts of the US but somehow never in the middle. She currently resides in the Southeast US with her kitty cats (please spay or neuter! :-)) where she works as a hospital drudge and attends graduate school. Taken By The Huntsman is her first effort at writing fiction and if it is well received she has ideas for several more novels and short-stories in this series. Please feel free to visit her on FaceBook or drop her a line at mistralkdawn@gmail.com

#July2019 #IndieBooksBeSeen #Indie #Author #Books #Monthly #BookReview!

Hey Everyone!! :-)

It's the 18th again, so time for my #IndieBooksBeSeen monthly indie author book review!! Enjoy! :-)

The Rise of the Haliorunnae by Vanda Denton:

You know, this was a really good read, but I'm struggling to figure out how to summarize it without giving away major spoilers. Suffice it to say, the themes of people hating without knowing who, what, or why they're hating, doing things because they've always been done, and the rapid approach of an existential threat that's largely being ignored by society are so disturbingly familiar that in spite of the sci-fi elements I felt like I could be reading a commentary on modern society at times. Bottom line, I couldn't put it down, so five stars; this is one I would definitely recommend.
