Who Is Mistral Dawn?

Mistral Dawn is a thirty-something gal who has lived on both coasts of the US but somehow never in the middle. She currently resides in the Southeast US with her kitty cats (please spay or neuter! :-)) where she works as a hospital drudge and attends graduate school. Taken By The Huntsman is her first effort at writing fiction and if it is well received she has ideas for several more novels and short-stories in this series. Please feel free to visit her on FaceBook or drop her a line at mistralkdawn@gmail.com

#Indie #Authors Are #Awesome!! :-)

Hey Everyone!! :-)

Grandma Peachy has been kind enough to share her thoughts about the indie author community with us today! :-)

Grandma Peachy's Post:
Yesterday, Saturday August 15th, was Author Awareness Day, in my self designated role of Indie Author Cheerleader I spent much of the day finding and sharing the books of many different genres by indie authors.
Indie authors are a wonderful group of people who support each other to the benefit of all. They help promote each other, read and review for one another, give tips and comments to help others improve their stories. Because of my relationship to one such indie author I became quite interested in helping the community as a whole. Encouraging authors of all genres to write, helping them find places to become informed on how to make their books more readable and marketable, beta reading and reading for review all genres of books are just part of what I can do to help this lovely community. It may be just a drop in the bucket for promoting indie authors, but if by my participation an author turns a good story poorly written into a well written successful book, if even one sale is made as a result, then I have made a difference. Though it is my hope that more than one sale would result.
I want to wish all indie authors success in their endeavors. May your books be well edited, your stories engaging, your characters deep, and your readership ever expanding!
