Who Is Mistral Dawn?

Mistral Dawn is a thirty-something gal who has lived on both coasts of the US but somehow never in the middle. She currently resides in the Southeast US with her kitty cats (please spay or neuter! :-)) where she works as a hospital drudge and attends graduate school. Taken By The Huntsman is her first effort at writing fiction and if it is well received she has ideas for several more novels and short-stories in this series. Please feel free to visit her on FaceBook or drop her a line at mistralkdawn@gmail.com

#Agent Thoth's #Personal Log: Day 1010

Hey Everyone! :-)

Agent Thoth discusses more of the trials and tribulations associated with living with hominids. Incidentally, if you've missed Agent Thoth's earlier entries, you can find them here: Thoth's Journal

Agent Thoth's Personal Log

Day One-Thousand-Ten:
The tiny terror continues his campaign to assert dominance over the hapless canid. Since the clueless animal does not resist his demands, he has begun physically abusing the poor creature. It has escalated to the point where the canid seeks refuge from the minuscule monster’s attacks by hiding behind my hominid-servant’s legs.

This strategy, though I hesitate to call it such since I do not believe it was deliberate, has caused my hominid-servant to take notice of the violence the young mischief-maker has been committing, chiefly because her own legs have repeatedly become collateral damage. As a result, she has become vigilant against these outbursts and takes swift action to confine my idiot companion to the punishment box at the first sign of agitation.

It took several repeats of this pattern before my youthful compatriot appeared to realize there would be consequences for his actions, however the message does seem to have finally penetrated the murky depths of his consciousness. The last time he was confined, it took far less time for him to calm himself, and there has been a longer than usual reprieve for the canid since. Perhaps, though I cannot yet be certain, he will modify his tactics to a less disruptive means of asserting his will. At any rate, the canid, at least, has finally been allowed to rest undisturbed.

Oh, my! Collateral damage can be problematic. ;-) You may have noticed that Agent Thoth has a new look. I hope you like his new picture as much as I do, but I'd love to hear your thoughts, either way. Feel free to let me know what you think in the comments. ;-) Happy reading, everyone!
