Who Is Mistral Dawn?

Mistral Dawn is a thirty-something gal who has lived on both coasts of the US but somehow never in the middle. She currently resides in the Southeast US with her kitty cats (please spay or neuter! :-)) where she works as a hospital drudge and attends graduate school. Taken By The Huntsman is her first effort at writing fiction and if it is well received she has ideas for several more novels and short-stories in this series. Please feel free to visit her on FaceBook or drop her a line at mistralkdawn@gmail.com

The Usual Suspects

Hey Everyone!! :-)

I thought about doing another political rant, today. There's certainly enough going on in the country right now that's rant-worthy. But, I decided I needed a laugh and thought maybe all of you could use one as well. Ergo, here's a little bit of inside baseball about my furry brigade. ;-)

A Bouquet of Furry Personalities:

My oldest cat, aka The Squeak, is a charmer. When I yell at him for doing something he knows he's not supposed to do, he'll purr and give me "I love you eyes" and roll onto his back and wave his paws in the air until I forget what I'm scolding him for.

My second oldest cat, aka The Original Sin, is a Diva with a capital D. She does things she knows she's not supposed to do right in front of me, daring me to object. When I yell at her, she yells back at me for yelling at her.

My second youngest cat, aka The Small, has a perpetually guilty conscience. He flees from the mom-monster at the slightest provocation, bleating in terror. Even when he's not doing anything wrong and I'm yelling at someone else.

My youngest cat, aka The Homicidal Muffin With Legs or The Muffin for short, just squints at me suspiciously when I yell at him and asks, "What are these 'rules' of which you speak?"
