Who Is Mistral Dawn?

Mistral Dawn is a thirty-something gal who has lived on both coasts of the US but somehow never in the middle. She currently resides in the Southeast US with her kitty cats (please spay or neuter! :-)) where she works as a hospital drudge and attends graduate school. Taken By The Huntsman is her first effort at writing fiction and if it is well received she has ideas for several more novels and short-stories in this series. Please feel free to visit her on FaceBook or drop her a line at mistralkdawn@gmail.com

Hey Everyone!! :-)

It's just a little less than a month before Captivated By The Winter King will be released and you'll all get to read about Kate and Ankou's story!!!  Exciting, right? :-)  I'd like to share this exciting news with as many people as possible, so I've created a Thunderclap campaign and I'm hoping you'll help me out by supporting it.  All you have to do is click on the link below and then click on the "support" button.  Choose which social media platform (twitter, facebook, or tumblr) you'd like to use and then confirm your permission for using that platform and that's it!  It takes about thirty seconds and is completely free.  Thank you all so much and don't forget to check out the latest excerpt below!!!! :-)

Excerpt from Captivated By The Winter King:
Kate's eyes flicked to Ankou's face and then down to the floor. She walked a few feet back towards the table and wrapped her arms around herself. Glancing back at the male who professed to want to help her, she saw a sort of hungry desperation written across his features. But she noted he didn't pursue her; he let her have her space.

The small amount of physical distance she had put between them helped her clear her head. Being in close proximity to Ankou's perfect body was a distraction she couldn't ignore. But she also felt the loss of heat that enveloped her when she was near him. She wasn't sure if the heat was real or imagined, but there was no doubt it was there. Swallowing, she tried to organize her thoughts. "I'm…," she hesitated. If she told the truth, how would he react? Erik would try to trap her this way sometimes too. Could she trust him? Deciding it was better to see his true colors now, so she would know what she was dealing with, she said, "I'm not sure how I feel. Things have happened fast, and I don't think I've caught up yet."
