#NewRelease: #Immortal #Pair: #Touch of the #Irish Part 3 by Savannah Morgan! :-)

Hey Everyone!! :-)

Savannah Morgan is here today to tell us about her awesome new short story!  Savannah, take it away! :-)

Savannah:
Immortal Pair: Touch of the Irish Part 3
(Touch of the Irish: A Collection of Short Erotic Fantasies Book 1)

Savannah Morgan’s PNR/Fantasy trilogy Touch of the Irish is now complete with the release of Immortal Pair. Find out what happens when lines are drawn and sides are chosen as our triquetra pair; Roarke, Marissa, and Kale force the Fey Gods to accept a new species of fey.

Blurb:
Eros' third victim, from his drunken folly on Valentine's Day, is in for a few changes to her life. There is a whole new world she is about to enter, with a little help from two Alpha Immortals who want her for their own.
During the Great War, a virus infected the warrior class of the Fey, which rendered their majick useless. Rather than destroy these valiant and loyal warriors the Gods decided to send them to the human realm as guardians. However, a select group of these warriors found the virus had altered their majick to having dominion over the air. They could shape it into tools, weapons, shelter, anything their mind could conceive. Afraid of this new power the Gods and Goddesses of Knockaine called these rogue warriors Sylph, and sentenced them to death.
Living in hiding with the aid of a few majickal friends this community of Sylphs has learned there is a way to control their majick and use it for good. However, they need to complete the Triquetra Trio to ensure the balance and control their majick.
As with any new faction or species, they need a leader. And every leader needs a mate...or two.
Roarke is a leprechaun who has been infected with the virus and turned Sylph. Under the protection of his friend and lover, Kale, the guardian of the West, they form a plan to free the Sylphs from their death sentence and remove the Gods from mucking up their lives. But, first they must bind the woman that holds all of their destinies in the palm of her hand, without even knowing it.
Marissa Garcia is about to be seduced into the world of Fey majick, Gods, Goddesses, Kings, Queens, and Sylphs. Will she meet her destiny and become the queen of a new species, or will she falter and turn her back on the Immortal Pair who are bound to love only her as their mate.
Join Roarke, Kale and Marissa, along with their friends: Drake, Candice, and the Breeds MC as they rise up against the Gods of Knockaine in their fight for the right to live, love, and be recognized as a value to the Fey World.
Watch as old lies are uncovered and more friends join their fight. Oh and don't worry, it wouldn't be Touch of the Irish without Sheridan lending a hand.
What could possibly go wrong this time?

#Interview With Maria Elena Alonso-Sierra

Hey Everyone!! :-)

Maria Elena Alonso-Sierra is here today with us.  Maria, please tell us about yourself and how many books you have written. :-)

Maria:  I recently retired from teaching literature at the middle school level to devote one hundred percent of my time to my craft. Before that, I taught literature, writing, and theory at the university level, as well. Have lived around the world, been a professional dancer, singer, and done commercials for TV. Love to include in the setting of my novels the flavor of the places in which I lived. Have a wonderful husband (been married 30+ years) and have two sons, equally wonderful. I started writing seriously 20+ years ago and have finally published two novels, The Coin and The Book of Hours. Have finished several short stories and am currently writing my third full novel, a detective story set in NYC with my character, Nick Larson.

Me:  Wow! Sounds like you've had an interesting life! :-)  What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?

Maria:  The Book of Hours is the second of my duology. It is the sequel to my first novel, The Coin. The original story with Gabriela Martinez and Richard Harrison was too big to put into one novel. As a matter of fact, I found I had two complete story arcs, much like a Venn diagram, with my two characters as the uniting force. Had to finish the two conflicts while telling their story. The Book of Hours finishes that. But the inspiration started with an outing in France, where I used to live, where I found coins on the ground. This sparked: what if an innocent woman finds a coin in the middle of nowhere, which puts her in deadly danger? And what if there is only one man who can save her, which will also place her in danger, but a different kind?

Me:  Oooo!! Love the "what-ifs," they're always so intriguing. ;-)  What are you working on now?

Maria:  I’m working on a detective novel, set in NYC where I used to live. The plot was inspired by something I saw on FB that made me ask my favorite questions: Why? And What if?

Me:  Ha! Great stories often start with those questions. ;-)  What authors, or books, have influenced you?

Maria:  I have so, so many, I can’t begin to list them. Shakespeare is one. Dante. Chesterton is another. Anya Seton, Marlys Millhiser, Dick Francis, Michael Crichton, Nora Roberts, Sandra Brown, Jayne Ann Krentz, García Marques, García Lorca, Stella Cameron, Linda Howard, Poe, Twain, Wilde, Blake, Dunnett, Christina Skye…should I go on?

Me:  HA! Typical author's response. ;-)  What are you reading now?

Maria:  Trying to get back to reading. Has been a brutal two years. But I’m finally picking it up once more. Re-reading State of Fear by Michael Crichton simply because the novel was inside my husband’s night table when I unpacked.

Me:  He was one of my favorite authors too, such a story-teller! :-)  For those who might consider reading your book, what would you tell them to expect?

Maria:  Intrigue, action, suspense, and a healthy dose of romantic tension. Readers should compare The Coin to Casablanca meets James Bond, without the gadgets. The Book of Hours is more a now retired intelligence officer who goes after the woman he loves, not only to save her, but to keep her in his life forever.

Me:  Sounds like a sweet storyline. :-)  What is your favorite part of being an author?

Maria:  Writing a good story that readers can really get into. The creating of the world, the characters, the story. I love bringing the people who live in my imagination to life, and love when readers respond with the same enthusiasm and love to those characters as I do.

Me:  Yes, it's a lot of fun to play with our imaginary friends. ;-)  Do you have a day job as well?

Maria:  No, not any more. I am dedicating all my time to writing and promoting my work.

Me:  Wonderful!!  What would you say are the hardest and easiest parts about being a writer?

Maria:  Actually it is a two-fold answer. As an independent, self-published writer, the hardest part is promoting your work and getting started on the next one. One takes the time of the other, so that is difficult. The other hard part is the revision process.  The easiest part of writing is sitting down and creating the story. There are moments of block, but, usually, characters, dialogue, and plot come easy. At least, to me.

Me:  I think most indie authors would agree with you. :-)  What genre do you place your book in?

Maria:  Romantic suspense/thriller.

Me:  Cool! :-)  Is there anything else you'd like to tell your readers?

Maria:  I love to hear from readers. Wish they would communicate more. Review more. But, most importantly, I always want them to know how grateful I am to them for sharing Gabriela and Richard’s world. It is truly a wonderful thing. They keep me writing. I hope those novels will be ones they’ll enjoy.

Me:  Amen!!  And so these fine folks can find Gabriela and Richard's adventures, are there any links you'd like me to post?

Maria:  The usual buy links for those readers who want to read my novels and share Gabriela and Richard’s world:

#Fang & #Claw by Markie Madden! :-)

Hey Everyone!! :-)

Markie Madden is joining us here today with an interview with one of the characters in her new release novel, Fang and Claw (The Undead Unit Book 1).  Markie, take it away! :-)

Markie:
Interview with a Vampire

Okay, a character, but she IS a vampire lol.

Q: Hi, welcome! Can you tell us your name and what you do for a living? And, you’re a Vampire. When were you born?

LA: I’m Lacey Anderson. I was born in Athens, Greece, in the later part of the 17th century. I’m a detective with the Dallas Police department.

Q: Ooh, that sounds a bit dangerous!?

LA: Sometimes, it can be. That’s why we’re well-trained in many different aspects of self-defense.

Q: You’re a Vampire. Does this mean you only work the night shift?

LA: (chuckle) No, that’s a common misconception. A vampire can be out in daylight, or even direct sunlight, but too much exposure causes our skin to itch, like a human with a sunburn or poison ivy. So we prefer not to spend too much time in direct sun.

Q: And that’s a result of the vampirococcus virus in your system, correct?

LA: Yes. It’s a symbiotic relationship, which means the virus must keep its host’s body at the peak of health. For example, the heart rate, temperature, blood pressure, or respiratory rate of a Vampire never deviates from optimum.

Q: Very interesting. Tell us a bit about your latest assignment with the police department.

LA: I’ve recently been put in charge of a new unit the department has come up with. Basically, we investigate crimes involving different species of Immortal. The administration thought we might have more success in solving crimes among the Undead if the entire unit was made up of Undead. Many species of Immortal are still wary of humans, and tend to keep to themselves, or at least, other Immortals. So I think they were hoping we could get victims to open up better if we were doing the interviews.

Q: So how is that working out?

LA: It’s hard to say. The unit’s so new. But I think we’re just about to wrap up our first big case.

Q: And what can you tell us about that?

LA: As you may know, I’m not authorized to give any information or comments regarding ongoing investigations. For that you’d have to contact our public relations office.

Q: I understand. So you’re nearly ready to…what do you say, close this case? An arrest is imminent?

LA: It’s a possibility.

Q: And you’re partnered up with a Werewolf! How does that work out, a Vampire and a Werewolf?

LA: Well, I wasn’t keen on the idea of having a partner in the first place. I’ve worked for the police department for a long time, most of it solo. They’d throw me to a partner every few years, mostly so I could train some of the new officers. But they know I work best alone.

Q: But you have a past as far as Wolves are concerned, isn’t that right?

LA: Yes. A pack of Wolves killed my entire family in Greece several hundred years ago. Turns out, my partner Colton is a descendant of that same pack. I didn’t know it, at first, but it made for a bit of awkwardness. I think we’ve both kind of gotten over that now.

Q: What can you tell us about what’s next for Lacey and Colton?

LA: In our line of work, there’s no telling what we may be up against from one day to the next. But at the end of the day, if we catch the bad guy and get him locked up, that’s good enough for me.

Q: Thank you, Lacey, for coming to talk to us. Folks, this has been an interview with Detective Lacey Anderson of the Dallas Police Department, and co-star of Fang and Claw, book one of The Undead Unit Series. Thanks for joining us!

A little more information about the series:
Over a hundred years in the future, it’s a world where supernatural beings live and work among humans. Of course, the government has forced them to take the Undead Oath in order to gain citizenship; they must not prey on humans for food. They’re often given tasks in jobs suited for their species, but just as among other minorities, they must struggle to prove themselves.
As if dealing with racial prejudice isn’t enough, there is also a criminal element, just as there is with any group of beings living in society. The Dallas Police Department has introduced an elite new squad made up of Undead officers and detectives. This unit is dedicated to solving crimes involving Immortals. Headed by veteran detective Lacey Anderson, can the Undead Unit overcome its obstacles, both internal and external, or will it be doomed to failure?

What you can expect from the book:
Lieutenant Lacey Anderson of the Dallas Police Department heads up a elite new squad dedicated to solving crimes involving Immortals like herself. Lacey, a Vampire left for dead when her family was slaughtered by Werewolves, still has nightmares about the attack.
Detective Colton Scarber is her unwilling partner and second-in-command. He’s a Werewolf, a descendant of those who killed Lacey’s coven. She’s unaware of this, but she doesn’t trust him from the start. When the fragile beginning of the team is threatened by the truth, can they learn to trust one another as partners must, or will the Undead Unit be doomed to failure?
A mysterious suspect and strange physical evidence leads them to solve a case spanning decades, and leaves Lacey with no other choice but to rely on her enemy when her very life is at stake!

~Fight for the Fae~

Fight for the Fae
The Mirrored Prophecy 2
Chapter One (Sneak Peek)

~Lina~

Earlier that day…
She will lose a love, gain a love, bear love and sacrifice for love. What does that mean? The Seer’s words ring through my mind. My grandmother arranged a meeting with Epan, the Highest Druid Priest and one of his Seers, Yasmin, to discuss my future that she has foretold. A lot has been going on in the last few weeks.
It’s not every day that you learn that your fate is part of a mirrored prophecy that will determine the fate of the world. Your first child will play a part in either destroying the world or saving it. That’s a lot for anyone to take in, but I have no choice but to accept my fate. I refuse to believe that I will play a part of destroying the human realm. Earth is as much my home as Faery is. Half of my childhood was spent here. My mother, Loredana Văduva, was a human Witch who died when I was fifteen years old in a Demon attack. Both sides of the family made sure that my brother Keegan and I spent time with my mother’s side of the family. My father Vamir Waldmar never denied my Witch side even though he is a full Fae. He is the Prince of the Light Fae to be exact, the future heir to the throne.
The marriage between my parents was arranged to create a treaty between the Witches and the Fae. Both sides have honored this agreement since my parents exchanged their nuptials. In the past two years, supernaturals have gone missing and the Witches and Fae have been working together. Recently, they have teamed up with the Shifters and the Vampires. We were able to trace the disappearances to the current leader of the Underworld and King of the Demons, Melomouzor. Melomouzor was exiled to the Underworld over a millennium ago because he was trying to develop a super Demon and take over the human realm.
Ten supernaturals, known as the Ancients, played a part in banishing him to the Underworld as a way to prevent him from conquering the human realm. He is on a mission to complete what he started and he needs my blood to help him cross over to the human realm. Any other day I would tell him to fuck himself, but he’s found a way to start bringing destruction to Earth. He’s had help bringing his Demons to the realm and kidnapping supernaturals.
We don’t know if the victims are still alive. We have no clue except that he must have been experimenting on the supernaturals and Demons. There was a large Demon attack where he sent his new enhanced Demons. These Demons were stronger, faster and we could tell that they had been enhanced with supernatural traits. We fought the Demons hard but most escaped. One of the Demons was able to capture my brother Keegan and took him to the Underworld. I want my brother back. There is no way in hell that I will rest until my brother is back from the Underworld, even if I have to sacrifice myself.
I leave the meeting that my grandmother arranged with Epan and Yasmin, stating that I am tired and want to rest before our other meeting that is scheduled in a few hours. I talk Colin into going back to check on his pack and the Legion’s progress with the Demons. Tonight’s meeting will be all supernatural leaders getting together to plan a way to defend the human realm against the new breed of Demons and keeping Melomouzor in the Underworld.
I have a plan. My amulet that hangs around my neck warms at the plan that I came up with. I can’t tell anyone my plan; if I do they will try to talk me out of it. I sneak into my room locking the door behind me. There is someone that I have to talk to and I need to go to sleep to do this. Since I have the power of the Fae, I should be able to dream walk to reach him. Before gaining these powers I didn’t know I had, I had never dream walked. Once learning the depths of my powers, I was sent to Faery to train to learn how to use them before having to make an urgent return to the human realm.
I should be able to dream walk without any problems. Having all the powers and accessing them should come easy for me. I just need to use them and not think so much. I have no choice. It will be up to me to save Keegan and the realm. I lay across my bed trying to get comfortable. This will only work if I fall asleep. I relax my breathing to slow deep breaths. My body finally relaxes and I doze off to sleep.

****

Will Lina be powerful enough to defeat the Demon King while saving the realms? Will true love prevail during the Fight for the Fae?

#Tales of the Fifth #Guardian;Book One:The #Beginning by CM Johnson #Blitz

Tales of the Fifth Guardian; Book One: The Beginning

Tales of the Fifth Guardian is an adult Romantic Fantasy Adventure series with paranormal aspects and is based on the question: What if the descendants of the survivors of the island known as Atlantis lived among us in modern times with all the power and abilities of their ancestors?
The series is recommended for readers 18+ due to mature sexual situations, violence, and dark/trigger scenes.
Book One is priced at 99 cents as an introduction to the series since they need to be read in order and every three full volumes I'm creating "compilation volumes" that are priced at buy two get one free in ebook and print.

Author Interview:

Me:  CM, will you tell us a bit about yourself and how many books you have written?

CM:  My husband and I moved back to Florida in 1995 when he was medically retired from the U.S. Navy. I returned to school in 2003 and completed my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in 2007. I began writing Tales of the Fifth Guardian in 2009 and self-pulishing in 2012. I found the Indie community on Facebook about a year later. I left education in the fall of 2013 to pursue my Master's in Accounting while devoting more time to writing. There are currently eight full length books (averaging 140,000+ words and one short story approx. 43,000 words). There are 12 full length books planned with another 2-3 short stories. I've also developed a language for the series and have created a dictionary.

Me:  That's so cool!! Very ambitious. :-)  What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?

CM:  Tales of the Fifth Guardian originally developed from playing superhero games on the playground and then my research into determining how those powers and abilities might manifest in our world. When I found the legends of Atlantis I had the beginning of my answer. Following the history and legends of other cultures lead me to place the more adult and eventually the violence and trigger scenes - The main character is a strong woman so it seemed fitting that the Clans against hers would treat her less than pleasantly.

Me:  Sounds like an interesting story. :-)  What are you working on now?

CM:  Tales of the Fifth Guardian; Book Nine: Tinotchan is well underway.

Me:  Wow! Sounds like you're giving your readers a lot to enjoy. :-)  What authors, or books have influenced you?

CM:  I grew up reading Nancy Drew and then moved into true crime, V.C. Andrews, and traditional romance authors/books. But I've always been one to read almsot anything and more recently read Laurell K. Hamilton, Charlaine Harris, and a number of YA series.

Me:  I love LKH and Charlaine Harris!! :-)  What are you reading now?

CM:  I'm currently re-reading my series as a refresher of some of the finer details.

Me:  Yeah, it's easy to forget the smaller details sometimes. ;-)  For those who might consider reading your book, what would you tell them to expect?

CM:  An intricate detail oriented story into a new world with a kick-butt female main character who fights back with swords and power (psychic and elemental abilities). A love that is meant to last for centuries with a male main character who is her equal and her partner. Dark trigger scenes involving rape in a number of the volumes and then consensual scenes with multiple partners in later volumes. Although the darkness never fully goes away and other dark themes are explored.

Me:  I think I may have to read these books! :-)  What is your favorite part of being an author?

CM:  Tales of the Fifth Guardian has been in my mind for a long time - It was my "mind story" when I couldn't sleep or was in an area where I couldn't read and I love sharing that world with my readers.

Me:  Those invisible friends can be great company. :-)  Do you have a day job as well?

CM:  Currently, I am in online classes for my Master's in Accounting but I am also something of a part time caretaker/assistant for my parents.

Me:  Busy, busy, busy! ;-)  What are the hardest and easiest parts about being a writer?

CM:  Hardest: Finding the time to write without interruption  Easiest: Sometimes the easiest thing to do is to talk about the series.
