I've got Jessica Ozment in my APC spotlight, today! Jessica is an active and supportive member of the  Authors-Professional Co-op Facebook group and her young adult, dystopian, science fiction short story, Senseless, looks great! Here's the description:

An unknown disease sweeps the nation leaving Rumer, and many other children without the protection of their loved ones. What’s worse, the same pathogen that took their families also made them into senseless killing machines, hellbent on removing all life left on Earth. The world has become a very different place, full of nightmarish monsters, and unspeakable evils. Can Rumer and her unruly gang find a solution to the next problem rearing its ugly head? Or will a forgotten emotion get the best of them all?
