It's #Only #Fiction...

Hey Everyone! :-)

It's Monday, so time for your weekly dose of the Fae! :-)  This week, I thought I'd share something that's a little different.  It's a passage I wrote several months ago, but I thought you might find it ironic now.  Just a quick disclaimer, this passage is an excerpt from the thoughts of one of the villains in Captivated By The Winter King.  It does not, in any way, shape, or form, represent the thoughts or opinions of the author. ;-)

Excerpt from Captivated By The Winter King:

After stumbling through the humid, Florida jungle, Erik had finally reached the place where Kate's car had been found. He had been prepared to wait the hour he had decided on; but, before he could settle in, he heard voices from close by. Peering through the vegetation, he thought he saw people standing not far away. What were other people doing there? Would the fairies have come through the portal before he arrived?

Moving closer, he realized he couldn't understand the language they were speaking. Foreigners! He was so sick of foreigners coming to his country and speaking their gibberish. Why couldn't they learn to speak American? Still, they might be dangerous. Weren't most foreigners criminals?

Before he could sneak away, the light shining through the trees brightened for a moment and he was able to get a better look at the group. One of them was pure white. It could only be Gormal. Shuddering, he reflected he had never thought anyone could be too white before. But the Fae male was. It was disgusting. But if he had Erik's fiance, it would be worth dealing with him long enough to get her back. When he entered politics, Erik realized he would have to put on a polite face for all kinds of distasteful people. At least, until he was able to crush them.

Well, he sounds perfectly detestable, doesn't he?  I'm glad he's not a real politician! ;-)  Anyway, thank you all for joining me here today!  And don't forget to check back tomorrow for the next edition of Mistral Dawn's Musings! :-)
